6501 Windermere Circle, North Bethesda, MD  20852.  

Light refreshments will be served.

Our home is about a 15 minute car ride from the Hyatt Regency Bethesda.  

We’d love to see you when you get to town, so stop on in for a quick visit. 

But we have to leave for temple promptly at 5:30pm for Shabbat Services.

 

• 6-7:30PM SHABBAT SERVICES AT TEMPLE EMANUEL IN KENSINGTON

 

Feel free to join us for a quick, hour long shabbat service located at

Temple Emanuel at 10101 Connecticut Avenue, Kensington, MD  20895.  

Our family will be honored and will join the rabbi on the bimah for part of this service.  

*Our family will be hosting a wine and cheese Oneg, from 6-6:30pm at temple, prior to the Shabbat Service.  Services are from 6:30-7:30pm.

 

 

SATURDAY, MAY 28

 

• 9:30AM - COMPLIMENTARY BUS DEPARTS FROM HYATT BETHESDA FOR ROUNTRIP RIDE TO TEMPLE 

 

A large 56 passenger bus from HAYMARKET TRANSPORTATION will be

waiting for you in front of the Hyatt.  

You will depart promptly at 9:30am for the 10am ceremony. 

The bus ride should take approximately 10 minutes.

 

• 10 -11:30ish - MICHAEL’S BAR MITZVAH CEREMONY - TEMPLE EMANUEL, KENSINGTON

 

 

Welcome to the main event!  We are so thrilled you are here to join us.

Sit back and enjoy the Hebrew chantings of Michael Dayton Baumel.  :-)

 

• 11:45AM - Bus departs from Temple Emanuel back to Hyatt Regency Bethesda.  This bus is only for our out of town guests.

 

• 12-2ish - CELEBRATION LUNCH AT MORTON’S AT THE HYATT REGENCY BETHESDA

 

Morton’s is located inside the Hyatt Regency Hotel. 

There is also an outside entrance to Morton’s.  

Doors will open to our guests at noon.  The entire restaurant has been reserved for our party only.

Please relax, eat and mingle as we celebrate Michael’s huge accomplishment.  

 

• EARLY EVENING

 

For those who wish to have dinner in Bethesda or Georgetown, please refer to our list of favorite restaurants as a guide.  The list can be found at the RESTAURANTS tab up top. 

*If you choose to have dinner in Georgetown and meet us at the dock for the river cruise, PLEASE note that we will be boarding promptly at 7:50pm in front of Nick’s Riverside Grill and departing at 8pm.

 

• 7:15PM - COMPLIMENTARY BUS DEPARTS FROM HYATT REGENCY BETHESDA FOR MOONLIGHT MONUMENT BOAT TOUR ON POTOMAC RIVER LEAVING FROM GEORGETOWN HARBOR   

 

• 8-9:30PM - RIVER CRUISE

It may get chilly on the water.  Dress accordingly.  Coffee/dessert will be served.

 

We are so excited to have you join us for this fun outing along the Potomac River.  We have reserved DC Cruises single deck boat, the Osprey.  Boarding will take place at 3100 K Street, NW at Georgetown Harbor in front of Nick’s Riverside Grill.  Join our open-air cruise along the Potomac River and view the stunning architecture of Washington’s famous monuments.  You will have views of the Jefferson, F.D.R., Lincoln and Washington memorials.  You’ll learn about the history of The War College, Iwo Jima Memorial, Watergate Complex, Arlington Cemetery and Kennedy Center, all of which arise along our cruise route. Busses will leave Georgetown Harbor at 10pm.

 

• 10:30PM - ARRIVE BACK AT HYATT REGENCY BETHESDA

 

SUNDAY, MAY 29

 

• 8:30 - 11am - BRUNCH AT HYATT REGENCY BETHESDA

 

Please join us for a leisurely brunch anytime between 8:30 and 11am in the open air foyer at the top of the staircase in the lobby of the hotel.  If you need to rush off and catch a plane or visit the sights of DC and would like to take some food to go, please don’t hesitate to ask the hotel staff who will pack a to-go bag for you.  Brunch today is hosted by Nancy and Ira Baumel.  Thank you!

• 7-10PM - KIDS PARTY AT HYATT REGENCY BETHESDA FOR MICHAEL’S FRIENDS

Michael’s friends will gather in the lower level of the hotel in the Judiciary and Cabinet Ballrooms for an evening of music, desserts and fun. 

Feel free to stop by and say hi, but this is a KIDS ONLY party.
